thinking about started a character design comp, but I just don’t know if any good artists on CS would be interested. I’d would offer ce/be galaxy or spotted tribal, maybe grown july as top prize/s. Basically all designs would have to follow one of three themes, nautical(?), plants or misc. Though misc isn’t really a theme, more of a free-for-all. :U

A second and third prize would be offered, and I wouldn’t pull a douche move of having them be lesser value, they’d be a couple spaces down.

I get on some nights to see a handful of rule breaking posts and just raise my eyebrows, seeing that they’ve been posted there for a couple hours and have already been reported. All the mods are American and European, that’s a few time zones granted, but not even close to covering the night shift Aussies/Kiwi’s pull on the internet.

The thing that sucks is that our highest concentration of users is in the USA and then in the UK. Canada falls in there too. But we do need more further back I think there are just fewer members who meet the qualifications back there. Unfortunately. But now with a mod in South Africa who takes on very strange time zones [for me at least] it helps. ^^

It would be pretty easy to hire people in the right timezones by having a specific mod position opened to people in those timezones. (I’m sure a few players would have a big huff and puff about being “discriminated” against because they don’t live in those time zones. They always do) but it’s a position that you guys need to fill. If you opened a mod after dark application thread you’d actually be able to get a clear look of what players are available in those parts of the world to get the job done.

You only need two or three. They can’t all be shitty players, Fiery Gatoh and I can’t be the only ones down here that can do that kind of job rofl.

Don’t you mean “West of the Intl. date line?”

Hiring a mod in Peru won’t do you any good because it’s the same timezone as US EST. Japan would be the same thing as parts of Australia, so it really doesn’t matter what side of the equator they’re on. -_-

I was referring to Aus/NZ in particular with that statement, but any mods outside of us/eu would be fantastic.

First:

Whether or not you base a character on yourself, be prepared for criticism if you enter a roleplay. A character is just a character, no matter how much they draw from real life. And besides, who on this planet hasn’t had had a friend/parent/etc say, at some point or another, that some part of their personality just needed to change? If you can’t handle that sort of thing, get the fuck out of roleplaying because there are bigger issues on hand that need to be addressed. You’ll be a much happier, healthier person for it.

Second:

I hope to god that they aren’t being serious, because if you can only describe yourself as ‘stubborn and hot headed but nice sometimes unless people push me too far and generous and mostly truthful’… well, I refer you back to point one. That, or you’re just selling yourself incredibly short, because even the most boring person on the planet has more complexity than that.

And TBH the crit’ i gave her was as gentle as possible, but I doubt she’ll take anything that I said into consideration if she edits her post. (Even though I asked her to submit a new character instead of editing her form.)

The sound of my disbelief at her reply was quickly cut out by a slew of “You can’t be fucking serious” laughing.

See and that’s bullshit because you’re a damn good RPer and anyone would be happy to have you. People bitch and complain about never being able to get any good rpers in their roleplays. Maybe there’s a god damn reason.

I’m not saying people don’t have the right to make their posts pretty, but it shouldn’t be a fucking requirement.

Gaiaonline has a fantastic RP scene but there’s a high turn over of RP’s and they rarely last. That, and everyone does insane “pretty” posts; that’s the norm there.
